Summary This case study provides an account of the way ex-combatants and the researcher collaboratively constructed the Green Zone, a physical, emotional, and relational space in which joint narratives took place. The case casts light on the challenges in using a collaborative and dialogical approach to allow narratives to emerge. The inquiry aimed to understand the importance of social relations in the transition to civilian life currently faced by youth ex-combatants in Colombia, based on social constructionist theory as Kenneth Gergen proposed.
