Andrew Jackson, President of the United States of America, to all and singular to whom these presents shall come, greeting : whereas articles of agreement and convention, between the United States of America and the Four Confederated Bands of Pawnees, viz. Grand Pawnees, Pawnee Loups, Pawnee Republicans and Pawnee Tappaye, were made at the Grand Pawnee village on the Platte River, on the ninth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and thirty-three, by Henry L.
